Learn some new dance moves and friends in advance at our weekly socials dance classes—no partner needed. Join us for Casino Salsa on Wednesdays or Bachata on Thursdays. All levels welcome, just bring your energy and a water bottle!

Join Our Latin Percussion Workshop & Ensemble Session
Have you ever felt your heart beat in time with a conga drum, or longed to add a splash of salsa brass to your life? On , we’re turning Christ Church Hall into a celebration of Cuban Son, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Latin Jazz—and we want you in the mix.
Whether you’re stepping up to the congas for the first time, or you’ve been tapping out timbale fills for years, this afternoon-and-evening event has something for everyone. Start with a hands-on percussion workshop led by the incomparable Wilson Melo Garcia, then stay on for our free community ensemble jam—where every musician, vocalist and dancer is welcome to share the groove.

Percussion Workshop Details
- Instructor: Wilson Melo Garcia, Colombian percussionist whose rhythms have ignited dance floors worldwide.
- Instruments Provided: Congas, bongos, timbales, bells, claves, maracas, güiros. Feel free to bring your own if you’d like!
- Skill Level: Perfect for absolute beginners and experienced players — everyone learns together.
- Why Attend: Pick up core Latin patterns that will transform your feel for rhythm, whether you’re on stage or on the dance floor.
Ensemble Session Details
- Community Jam: A free, open-to-all gathering of Latin musicians and vocalists.
- Who’s Invited: Percussionists, pianists, guitarists, bassists, brass, woodwinds, and Spanish-speaking vocalists.
- Bring: Your instrument, microphone, cables, music stand, and your best energy. We supply PA and a small mixing desk.
- Sheet Music: Charts available in advance on request—let us know if you’d like them emailed.
